WAITS is an established charity which has collaborated with women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse for almost 30 years. We offer 4 key services which aim to support women to achieve their goals, feel empowered and gain independence.

Overview of our events
Throughout each year WAITS delivers a variety of events to raise awareness of issues affecting women, domestic abuse, and fundraising events for much needed resources to deliver our key services.
We also hold frequent participatory events such as consultations, seminars and representing women on forums and panels, which are open to our services users, partners and the community.
We also hold events to celebrate the fantastic work that we have done at WAITS, and this includes our 30th Anniversary Ball in October 2023.
We also run Sister Circle, a membership group for women in business and women philanthropists who wish to give back to society in a meaningful way. We organise three unique Sister Circle events every year.
Fundraising & event news
Our fundraising events are full of fun and laughter and have included Salsa Nights, Murder Mystery evenings and Quiz nights. We also fundraise through sponsored events such as our Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event in 2020, in which we encouraged all to walk a mile in women's shoes whilst listening to our service users journeys.
